Youth Open Water Thursdays

Service Description

This program is designed for youth that are interested in swimming for fitness in open water and preparing for an open water swim event. Participants will learn: open water safety skills, practice efficient swim techniques, acclimating to open water, breathing techniques, applying open-water orientation and sighting skills, race awareness such as swimming in a pack and buoy turns. *Wetsuits and goggles are mandatory* **Must be able to swim 100m of Front Crawl efficiently with face in the water. Location: Tunstall Bay. Dependent on weather and beach water quality.
